Over the last few years, we have seen tremendous growth in the CBD market. CBD is believed to be a remedy for various types of ailments, as it has shown very promising results. People who have been suffering from chronic pain, depression and anxiety now are relieved and benefitted by consuming CBD products.
There are many different forms of CBD available and all these forms are benefitting people in different ways. Nowadays, another form that is becoming quite popular is CBD wax. Let us know about few important details about CBD wax.
What exactly CBD wax is?
CBD wax is a concentrate of cannabis, where you can ingest much higher levels of CBD. Thus with little amount of CBD, you can derive the necessary benefits of CBD. The extraction method of CBD wax is also different.
You can get full-spectrum as well as isolate CBD wax, and both can offer with their own different benefits. Typically, full-spectrum will contain:
- Little trace of THC
- Few other beneficial cannabinoids that is found in the hemp plant.
However, full-spectrum CBD has a potential to deliver “high” that you may not prefer to get while using CBD. CBD isolate wax will only contain just CBD only and there will be no other stuff present in it. If you have got best products of CBD wax then it will contain about 80 to 90% CBD oil.
How CBD wax is produced?
In order to process CBD wax, you will need little more effort and also more technical skills than trimming and curing of fresh flowers. There are two different extraction processes that are as follows:
- Butane hash-oil extraction
In this extraction process, butane is used for extracting all essential oils, which is contained in the cannabis plant that also includes cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes. The butane gets evaporated and what is left will be highly concentrated substance.
- CO2 Extraction
This is another preferred way of obtaining CBD wax. Here, pressurized carbon dioxide is used for pulling out cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes. Heat and high pressure are used for turning CO2 into supercritical that means liquid as well as gas simultaneously. This method is also called “supercritical CO2 extraction.”
Different varieties of CBD wax
There are few different varieties of CBD wax and by knowing about them can help you to make your better choice to obtain their benefits.
- CBD shatter
It often looks like broken glass and it is quite fragile and may break if not handled carefully.
- CBD budder
You may often mistake CBD budder with butter. It is made under pressure at higher temperature.
- CBD crumble
The extraction process is similar to above CBD budder, but here it uses pre-purged CBD oil which may have higher moisture and viscosity.
- CBD live resin
For producing CBD live resin, first the hemp will be freeze-dried before extraction process will begin.
CBD wax offers many benefits and hence has become quite popular in the market.
